Trout habitat is unique to the size of the trout. Smaller trout get eaten in the deep water by the larger trout, so shallow water is where you can catch the smaller ones. We have lots of small caves under rocks that the large fish can get out of the sun in the daytime, and lots
of small rapids we call shoals to oxygenate the water. Fish are looking for an avenue of escape all the time, or they run the risk of being eaten.
