Rainbows are the most common trout in the White. We have 6 million stocked each year, half of which are more than 11 inches in length. Stockings take place every quarter and are based on the number of trout stamps sold. Rainbows can grow up to six pounds in one year if the conditions
are perfect. Most of the time they grow only about four pounds a year. They eat bugs and worms until they are large enough to eat smaller trout.
